Scenario Calculator

The Scenario Calculator turns quantitative numbers and projections from your chat conversation into an interactive testing dashboard. Instead of recalculating figures manually in spreadsheets, you can test different pricing, cost, or growth variables with tactile sliders and observe the immediate financial impact in real time.

1. Opening the Calculator

You can launch the Scenario Calculator through three intuitive entry points:

1. Under Quantitative Answers: Whenever an assistant message contains financial projections, unit economics, or quantitative estimates, a Calculate Scenario button appears directly in the message footer.
2. Slash Command: Type /calc (or /scenario, /kalkulator) into the prompt bar and press Enter.
3. Command Palette: Open the Universal Command Palette via ⌘K (or Ctrl+K), search for Scenario Calculator, and press Enter.

2. Interactive Parameter Exploration

The calculator displays your key business drivers on the left and resulting KPIs on the right:

• Tactile Sliders: Drag the slider thumb to adjust numbers smoothly across their operational range.
• Magnetic Baseline Snapping: When dragging a slider back toward its original starting value, it gently snaps into place so you never lose your starting point.
• Fine-Tuning Steppers: Click the [ - ] and [ + ] buttons flanking each slider to increment or decrement figures in precise steps.
• Direct Numeric Input: Click directly on any number field to type an exact value.
• Hold Spacebar to Peek Baseline: Press and hold the Space key to temporarily reveal your original numbers. Release the key to instantly return to your experimental setup.

3. Visual Charts & Sensitivity Analysis

Three visual perspectives help you evaluate your model at a glance:

• Waterfall Chart: Displays how revenue breaks down step-by-step through direct costs, overheads, and operating profit.
• Break-Even Analysis: Visualizes the intersection between fixed overheads, variable costs, and total revenue, showing exactly when your project reaches profitability.
• Sensitivity Tornado: Highlights which specific variable has the largest financial leverage on your bottom line under a ±20% stress test.

4. Exporting & Sharing

Once you are satisfied with a scenario, you have multiple ways to export your findings:

• Download Offline Web App: Click Export Web App to generate a single-file .html document. This file contains the entire interactive calculator and can be opened in any web browser without an internet connection or sent directly via email to founders, clients, or board members.
• Apply to Chat Prompt: Click Inject into Chat to formulate your newly calculated figures into a structured brief and continue the strategy dialogue directly in the Reaktor.
• CSV Import: Click Import CSV to populate the calculator with custom spreadsheet numbers from your local computer.
