Focus Editor
The Focus Editor provides a clean, distraction-free environment for drafting articles, essays, memos, and project notes. It helps you focus on writing without interruptions, organizes your ideas into structured categories, and exports your work directly to PDF or Markdown.
1. Accessing the Editor
You can launch the Focus Editor in five ways:
- Left Sidebar: In the left sidebar under the collapsible "Clarity & Synthesis" section, click the 1st item: Focus Text-Editor [DOC] (positioned directly above Language Sharpness).
- Prompt Slash Command: Type
/write(or/editor,/textedit) directly into the main prompt bar and pressEnterto open the writing room instantly. - Universal Command Palette (
⌘K/Ctrl+K): Press⌘K, type write or Focus Text-Editor, and pressEnter. - Dedicated Route: Visit
/writedirectly in your browser for a standalone writing workstation. - Idea Lab Workbench Rail: Inside the 2D Idea Lab (

2. The Writing Experience
Neuro-Ergonomic Reading Corridor
The editor limits line lengths to an optimal reading width (68 characters). This prevents eye strain during long writing sessions. The dark mode color scheme reduces glare by avoiding harsh pure-white text on pitch-black backgrounds.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Cmd + ForCtrl + F: Open the in-editor search and replace bar to find matches directly in the text without browser overlay drift.Cmd + .orCtrl + .: Toggle Focus Mode on and off.Escape: Close the search bar, exit Focus Mode, or close the editor overlay when inside the Reactor.
Floating Formatting Toolbar
When you highlight any text passage, a floating formatting pill automatically appears above your selection. You can toggle Bold, Italics, Headings (H1, H2), Bulleted or Numbered Lists, Blockquotes, and Inline Code without having to remember markdown symbols.
Distraction-Free Flow Guard
When you are actively typing, the editor hides category tags and secondary badges. This ensures your thought process remains uninterrupted. Once you pause for two seconds, the editor quietly scans your text to surface key topics and structure.
3. Organizing with Categories
The editor automatically organizes key elements of your text into four distinct categories:
- Claims (These): Core statements, arguments, and conclusions.
- Evidence (Beleg): Supporting data, studies, benchmarks, and quotations.
- Action (Aufgabe): Next steps, recommendations, and execution tasks.
- Topic (Thema): General subjects and thematic tags.
You can click any category in the top ribbon to filter your tags and view which concepts appear in your document.
4. Exporting and Sharing
Copy Formatted Text (Word & Google Docs)
Click Kopieren (or Copy) in the header to place your formatted document directly onto your clipboard. When you paste into Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, or email clients, all your headings, bold text, italics, and lists are preserved without requiring any markdown conversion.

Click the PDF button to reveal 4 tailored design templates. All exports are compiled deterministically with Typst WASM—your original text is preserved losslessly without any generative AI modification or summarization:
